Raxel Storage Systems have recently completed a specialist project in Ethiopia for the storage of aircraft tyres.

The scope of the project was to supply and install a storage system which allows for the easy loading and unloading of aircraft tyres of varying sizes and weights. In addition to this the tyres also had to be rotated daily so pressure points do not build up on the tyres.

Raxel designed a system using free wheeling rollers which were built into the racking system. These rollers were fitted into a steel frame structure which allowed the rollers to be moved forwards and backwards. This relocation of the rollers allowed for tyres of varying dimensions to be stored across three levels and thirty bays.

The project was installed in five days by our local installation crew.
